Bio

Born and raised in Chicago, IL.
Educated and living in Orlando, FL.

My education in physics, ergonomics, and satellite/space shuttle command and control have assisted me with learning Autodesk Maya and other 3D programs, because I am already used to dealing with distant 3D spaces. I love that field, but my love for art has drawn me to the creative industry.

When I was growing up, we went to Walt Disney World in Florida. A lot.

When Disney's MGM Studios (now Disney’s Hollywood Studios) opened, I took an animation tour. I walked into a building filled with rough carpeting which smelled like fresh paint. On one side of the hallway was a full length window. I walked over and peered through and my mouth dropped.

Artists were sitting at their desks. Each desk was filled with figures of the characters the artist helped create. They were drawing and painting animation cells while I watched.

It was then that I realized I could be an animator for a living, and I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up. Life sometimes takes you down a different path though. I joined the U.S. Air Force, moved to California, and got a degree in Aeronautics.

Fast forward to January 2021. I was in training, leadership, and customer service for over 20 years, yet the desire to be an animator never went away. The opportunity presented itself to go back to school for a second bachelor’s degree. I decided it was time to pursue what mattered to me.

Bringing characters to life though, is unlike anything else I’ve experienced.

It’s truly magical.

In my free time, I like to hang out with my daughter, work out, go to theme parks, hike, enjoy nature, watch movies, and spend quality time with my 5 cats.
